The market is small but complex. Besides market leader DermaNail, there are also devices from Onytec, Cure-Ex, and other unknown manufacturers.
In our comparison, DermaNail scored high because:
✅ Dual light wave technology (red + blue)
✅ Automatic switch-off after therapy time
✅ Long battery life
✅ Certification of medical devices in the EU
The finish appears high-quality, the controls are child’s play, and the results during the test period were impressive. The other devices proved less effective, were more complicated to operate, or seemed cheaply made.
But DermaNail isn't perfect either. Here are a few things that bothered us:
❌ Not available on Amazon, in stores, or at pharmacies
❌ Hard to obtain
DermaNail is a startup that faces little competition thanks to its patented technology. That's good for the company, but not for us, the consumers. As soon as the device is back in stock, it sells out almost immediately. If not, you should expect it to take at least 2–3 weeks before you can get your hands on one.
This can make shopping difficult, especially for people who need a solution urgently.
So, if you’re seriously considering buying one, don’t hesitate when it’s available. One missed opportunity could easily mean weeks of waiting...
Despite this issue, DermaNail remains the most convincing device in our test.
